When you receive mediation services at the DRC, you will work with a Case Coordinator from beginning to end, whose role is to assist you by understanding your situation, explain the process, and help schedule your sessions.
Mediation is a confidential and participatory process where third party, neutral, and unbiased Facilitators help guide you to come together to discuss the issues at hand, problem solve, and create solutions moving forward. If agreements are made, the DRC will type up your agreement; however, you are responsible for filing anything with the court.
Remember that Case Coordinators and Mediators are not here to give you legal advice, tell you what to do, fill out or file any court paperwork.
