Small Claims Court
If you have a Small Claims Case with the: 14-A1, 14-A2, 14-B, 15th, all cases are referred by the court and can take up to several weeks to receive at the DRC. A Case Coordinator will reach out to you when they have received your case. For all small claims inquiries, contact smallclaims@thedrcmi.org.
Circuit Court
For cases ordered to mediation in the Circuit Court regarding any family, guardianship, estate, and probate issues, or if you are looking for help on your own, please contact familymediation@thedrcmi.org.
Behavioral Health Mediation Program (BHMP)
In partnership with the Michigan Community Mediation Association, Oakland Mediation Center developed the Michigan Behavioral Health Mediation Services Program to ensure Michigan residents have access to a neutral, independent mediation professional to resolve matters related to experiences with Community Mental Health or Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan services. Oakland Mediation Center connects residents with their local Community Dispute Resolution Program center that can help resolve the dispute.
Michigan Agricultural Mediation Program (MAMP)
The Michigan Agricultural Mediation Program offers free mediation services to Michigan farmers to resolve their disputes outside of court.
The federal Agricultural Mediation Program was enacted by Congress in 1987, to help our farmers. MAMP today can help address a wide range of agricultural challenges from loans, bankruptcy, wetland determinations, compliance issues, insurance disputes, contract issues, to family estate complications.

Michigan Special Education Mediation Services (MISEMS)
Special Education Mediation Services (SEMS), formerly known as Michigan Special Education Mediation Program, provides mediation, facilitation and training services for working through disagreements so that children with disabilities promptly receive the services they need to develop and succeed in school. These services often help to avoid disputes or help resolve them early.
